SecureWave was successfully acquired by PatchLink Corporation in July 2007 and is now known as Lumension Security, after launching a new company name and identity earlier this month.
The purpose of the web site was to promote SecureWave's flagship product, Sanctuary, and its unique whitelist approach that enables only authorized applications to run and only authorized devices to connect to a network, laptop or PC.
With headquarters in Luxembourg and offices in the U.S. and U.K., SecureWave had translated its web site into 7 languages in its effort to service its global customer base of over 1,700, as well as its network of reseller and service provider partners worldwide.
Additionally, the web site allowed visitors to download a free trial evaluation of its product, provided partners with the ability to manage their reseller programs, and even offered hackers the challenge of penetrating the security of the software running on one of the company’s live servers.
