G. Scott Shaw is an award-winning, brand strategist and technology marketing professional recognized for his expertise in the design, development, management and execution of comprehensive print, web and multimedia campaigns and re-branding engagements for venture-backed technology companies to achieve significant annual sales growth.
Over the last decade, he has built an elite network of marketing and communications professionals whose combined efforts for global technology companies have helped transform $5-million niche players into $50-million market leaders and lead to a shared track record of successful exits through merger or acquisition.
A disciplined, versatile and well-rounded communications professional, he is equally proficient as a writer, designer, manager and technologist, with demonstrated experience marketing information security, aviation and aerospace, and medical technology software and services. He has launched corporate identities and global product launches; designed corporate identities, marketing collateral, search-optimized web sites and tradeshow exhibits; written press releases, brochures, video scripts and case studies; and successfully garnered positive national and international press coverage for his technology clients in trade and business publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires, MSNBC, Advertising Age, Information Week, and The Washington Post.
Prior to founding CreatiVerge, his communications career in the technology and government sectors includes legislative affairs, public relations, government relations, design and marketing positions with the Maryland House of Delegates, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, the Technology Council of Maryland and Kinko's, Inc. (now FedEx Office).
He is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association (MAVA), the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and has previously served as a Vice President on the Board of Directors of the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
He graduated summa cum laude from the College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park, with a focus in public relations, marketing and design.
